Note: a state-issued ID or passport is required in order to consume alcohol at the reception Friday evening. University policy requires us to have security checking IDs and issuing wristbands to those over 21 at the door.
Q: Is the schedule of events available?
A: No. A preliminary schedule will be posted soon.
Q: May I submit an abstract of a paper that has already been published?
A: No.
Q: Are poster presenters eligible to submit a paper for publishing in the PLC 42 proceedings?
A: No, posters will not be considered for the proceedings.
Q: Is it possible to have a poster displayed with no author present, or submit a paper for publishing in the PLC 42 proceedings without presenting it at the conference?
A: No. One motivation of the PLC is to encourage linguists and those who work in relevant fields to participate in discussion revolving around the accepted works.
Q: What are the regulations for poster boards?
A: Poster boards must be maximally 40x60 inches, and can be turned to either a horizontal or vertical orientation. Any poster that fits within these dimensions is acceptable. We will provide the poster board.
Q: How many handout copies should I have for my presentation?
A: Although it is hard to give an exact estimate, 50-60 copies are likely to be enough.
Q: Are there limitations on how many abstracts can be submitted by a given author?
A: Each author can submit up to two abstracts, with at most of one of them being singly-authored.
Q: Is the special panel open to abstract submissions?
A: No. Participation in the panel is by invitation only.
